Earlier this month A&S Recruitment attended The Felixstowe Freight Club Pre-summer luncheon and comedy extravaganza at The Orwell Hotel.
The event was held in aid of The Ben Ramsey Memorial Fund in conjunction with the charity CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young. The afternoon had many chances to buy raffle tickets and to win some amazing prizes – a couple of our girls won!
On stage providing the afternoons entertainment were Big Cheese Comedy. We had a good 3 course lunch whilst the girls running operations in the office treated themselves to fish and chips – it was national fish and chip day!
Over all the event raised over £10,500 with £4,000 of that being raised in the room! This was an amazing sum of money and will really help the family in being able to bring a mobile screening unit to Felixstowe to help prevent further tragedies happening in relation to undiagnosed cardiac issues.
We are looking forward to attending the next Freight Club event, it’s always nice to catch up and see some friendly faces
