Before an interview it is a good idea to know where you are supposed to be before your appointment
As a recruitment agency we see lots of people every day and our diary is always busy.
We understand the importance of good timekeeping this ensures meetings and appointments run to time eliminating any backlog.
When attending an interview, we advise that you research where you are going – there is nothing worse than turning up 15 minutes late because you didn’t know where to go.
If you turn up late to an interview it doesn’t look good to a potential employer and they might have doubts straight away, they are looking for punctual and reliable candidates. Lateness could result in your interview being cancelled giving you a missed opportunity.
It is also a good idea to test the route before your interview if you’re travelling somewhere unfamiliar, if you are on public transport it is a good idea to know what time buses and trains run before the interview day and to check which stop to get off at.
It is always a good idea to prepare for any aspect of an interview and as they say, ‘Fail to prepare, prepare to fail’.
