Company Overview: Our client is a boutique and well-established freight forwarding company dedicated to providing exceptional logistics solutions. As they expand their operations, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive new growth in shipping to Turkey and the Far East.
This new role within the organisation presents a real opportunity for a successful individual to create their own future opportunities in a privately owned business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Acquisition: Identify and secure new repeat business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector covering sea and road.
• Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our client base and market presence in the targeted regions.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Industry Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of the freight forwarding industry to provide innovative solutions and insights to clients.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to inform strategic decisions.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and business development initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a proven track record in sales and business development.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and international shipping regulations.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Salary £45,000 per annum
