Transport Operator

Our Felixstowe based client is looking for an experienced Transport Operator to join their team.

Role Overview
Route Planning: Strategically plan transport routes to optimize delivery schedules.
Coordination: Work closely with drivers and subcontractors to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
Operations Management: Monitor transport operations to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Performance Tracking: Utilize transport management systems to assess vehicle performance and efficiency.
Client Communication: Provide delivery updates to clients and address any operational issues.
Reporting: Prepare reports on transport activities and performance metrics to aid management decisions.
Logistics Solutions: Assist in implementing cost-effective logistics strategies.

Role Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within the transport or logistics sector.
Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in IT, especially transport management software and MS Office Suite.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective client and team interaction.
Positive attitude with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to transport operations.

Salary £40,000 to £45,000 p/a depending on experience
